Kathakwa Coffee Factory sits on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The factory sits within the Manyatta division of Embu County in the region of Ngariama. The factory is part of the Kibugu Farmer's Cooperative Society. At the factory, experts give technical advice through farmer training programs. Kathakwa Factory has long-term goals. They want to continuously improve coffee quality & production. They intend to do this by holding training seminars & providing education. They also wish to introduce more sustainable processes for the farmers they work with to help better both their coffees & their livelihoods.
