Fairtrade Espresso 250g

The Fairtrade Expresso was the first I received under the introductory offer, and very nice and well rounded it turned out to be. Pleasant long lasting aftertaste. I have now subscribed to bean club deliveries.

Fairtrade Espresso 250g

Well balanced espresso. Service straight has a nice almond aroma and the robusta doing it''s thing to give a long lasting thick crema.

Finca Los Caballitos, Guatemala - 250g

This was a taste sensation when I ground the beans, I got sweetness and Toffee from the aroma and very pleasant flavor on the mouth no bitterness at all. This will be my favorite for a while I think it will be hard to beat, I was going to say great for after dinner but no, it''s great whatever time it is. Just enjoy it.

Limited Edition IBC Special - Kenya Kagumoini AB - 250g

This is an excellent coffee, which is great as a brewed coffee (filter/V60/Chemex) and for any home barista''s (perish the term) with espresso machines, this makes for a bright and challenging single-origin espresso. I''d recomm a slightly lighter dose than you normally would use. Will differ for everyone''s set up. I used this coffee at the Irish barista championships. I don''t think I''ve ever got to know a coffee so well...the Kagumoini has been an absolute joy to work with.

Cibao Altura, Dominican Republic - 250g

Feedback is that this is the best filter coffee we have had in the shop so far!

Cibao Altura, Dominican Republic - 250g

I second that! It''s fantastic! I''d say any coffee drinker can appreciate this coffee from the Republic of Dominic, as it is not too ''strong'' or acidy but it still gives you a great ''round'' coffee taste.

Ethiopia Guji OCR - 250g

The Guji definitely has a unique flavour all of its own. I guess its a kind of pleasant sourness, with plenty of depth. Nice for a change from normal coffee.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Homa - 250g

This coffee has great acidity, beautiful aroma (giving off lovely smells in the kitchen and the rest of the house). I would always have it being brewed when I am trying to sell my house. It retains its flavour so well with great body to it. I would say full bodied. As far as I am aware Ethiopia is the first country in the world to have discovered the cultivation of coffee and it certainly shows, as this has a refreshing energizing effect on your palette.

Mzuzu Malawi AAA - 250g

I felt that this coffee was good to drink on its own. It certainly is a high quality coffee. From an acidity point of view the coffee did not taste flat. I did detect a bit of a bitterness aroma and it was again full bodied. I would recomm this coffee if you are not having anything to eat with it as the distinct taste was of a high quality.

Sidamo Q1 Ethiopia: This coffee definitely tasted better a few days after roasting - It was much smoother a couple of days after roasting. It also definitely needs to brew for at least 4 minutes and is better left a bit longer. It was quite smooth but with a slight tanin after taste. A definite citrus aciditiy. I would give it 6.5-7 out of 10.

I subscribed to this deal on recommendation and it is a great way to welcome Thursday morning when the new coffee arrives! To date our favourite has been the Ethiopian Sidamo 2 - rich, full bodied with a long lingering after taste - great for groggy mornings! Excellent service and excellent coffee.
